Transfer Chances

I just wanna know what the chances are for a transfer student to get in to WashU. I applied last year as a freshman as well, but was waitlisted.

-Spanish Club member
-Ranked 3/36 in class (very small school)
-State of Iowa Scholar
-30 ACT, with 34 in math

College Stats (University of Iowa)
-3.76 GPA
-will have 30 credits by next fall
-Tennis Club Member
-Tippie Scholar Member (which only 30 students of all incoming freshman at Iowa get)

Will Apply for need-based aid

Thats all I can think of right now, if you have any idea what my chances might be, please post...

i think you have pretty good chances. I applied spring transfer 2009 from George Washington University to their biomedical program and got in with a 3.7 GPA. I think the essay is a big factor in the application; as long as you show them you're very interested.
As for financial aid, i applied for need-based aid as well but they gave me peanuts. I was expecting to pay 30k/year with a EFC of 0.
I'm hoping i could attend their graduate school in the future.

hope that helps.

Come to think of it, I believe in the Fall 2008 transfer class there was a U Iowa student with numbers similar to yours. And indeed, judging by the friends I have who were accepted as transfers for this upcoming semester, and knowing their numbers, I'd say you have a very solid shot.
