hey guys, i'm a current freshman at villanova, and UNC is my first choice. im applying for sophomore transfer....here are my stats, can you guys let me know if you think i have a shot?

hs:
gpa: 3.5 (5 APs, school offers just about everyone you can think of)
SATs 2200 (750M/730W/720CR), Math I 700, Math II 730
major ec's: rugby team (award for integrity on/off field), president of frisbee club, worked in pharmacy (actual pharmacy stuff, not just ringing people up and swiping credit cards)

college:
chem major
GPA 3.93 (19 credits last semester, 20 this sem)
honors program
natl society of collegiate scholars
major ec's: rugby team in college, community service, invited to do research this summer

i also applied to UVA and Gtown, and i really have no idea what to expect....let me know what you guys think!

I think you will easily get into UNC with those stats. Your SAT is amazing and so is your college GPA (especially considering you can only go to 4.0!)

do you guys really think so? im out of state, and i dont really understand why theyll put such weight on college grades, comparing just 1 semester of good grades to 4 years of mediocre ones

I am currently a sophomore at UNC Charlotte. I am hoping to transfer to UNC for Fall 09. I applied last year when I was a freshman, but I was not accepted.

-Current GPA at UNCC = 3.93 (43 credit hours completed)
-High school GPA = around 3.6ish (not good... i know!)
-SAT scores = 630 math, 700 reading

I had an internship with an online magazine from May-August. I was then promoted to a writer position. As of January I was promoted to an editor position. I also worked for a couple months on the staff for the UNCC newspaper. I am hoping these things make me look accomplished!

I got in as a transfer and I had terrible HS stats and about the same college gpa and ec's. Most of the transfers I've met had around a 3.6 when accepted, you should be well above the curve.
