Transfer chances

I am currently enrolled at a school in up-state NY and I am looking at Tisch as a possbility for transfering after I get my degrees. I am looking at either Tisch’s Drama, Dramatic Writing or Film and Television program My GPA is a currently a 3.57, I still have another two semesters and about 40 credits right now. I’m hoping to get my average above a 3.7 by the time I graduate. I’m a double major in Social Sciences and Theatre Arts. I don’t really have time for any ec’s with my work schedule. As for a resume I’ve done local, regional and scholastic theatre and some featured extra work in film. I’m also looking at an internship this summer. If I were transfer today what would my chances be? Aside from Tisch I’m also looking at Carnegie Mellon, Syracuse University, Boston University, Hampshire, Pace, Ithaca, as well as either SUNY Binghamton, Geneceo, and New Paltz.
Thank you

what does anybody think about a charlotte bobcats versus phoenix suns NBA finals? 2 number 8 teams to make it on the granddaddyy of them all????

Kiddle, I'm not sure I understand what you mean about transferring after you get your degrees. Is this a four year degree you're talking about? If so, you wouldn't be a transfer student, you'd be looking at graduate programs. I don't know about the other schools you listed but NYU does not offer the ability to take a second undergrad degree, other than, I believe, nursing.

Sorry I meant associates degrees. Sorry for being so vauge. I believe does allow you to pick up a second major. But you can only apply to one program. Again sorry I wasn't specific enough

I think she means her AA degree, possibly at a community college currently? I am a transfer this year and auditioned for Tisch and they told me it's possible for me (I don't have an AA) to come in with whatever credits transfer and then probably a 1st year in whichever studio I get placed in if accepted. For CMU you would start as a 1st year and no credits would go through except if you have the 3 general ed classes necessary for them which I believe is a computer skills class, an English writing, class and a history/humanities class. Pace told us that they accept transfers based on if they have space in that transfer year or it's possible to start as a Freshman. I'd say call and talk to each DEPARTMENT about your situation, do not call regular college admissions b/c sometimes they don't know much when it comes to MT things, call the department directly, that's what I did and everyone I talked to was more than happy to explain their personal choices on the situation. Many BFAs will want you to start as a Freshman or 1st year because most of their classes are sequential, but like I said call them to see, some others on here, possibly soozievt, will probably have more info on this especially when it comes to NYU.
