Hello, I am a transfer student with a 3.2 gpa looking to go to ASC as a sophomore. My record consists of all A's and B+'s and an F which brought down my gpa. I'm from the midwest so I bring geographical diversity. How would I fare?

Well, the F isn’t going to kill you necessarily, but it will depend on all of your other grades and additional factors. And it will depend on how many slots are open next year in that class. There are always a few that open up, but this year’s class was the largest ever so that makes things tight. Just keep your grades up very high, and be prepared to do some 'splainin about the F. Something to consider is the rigor of the school you are presently attending. If it is not comparable academically, you may end up losing some of your credits. This happened to a student who transferred two years ago. Lost a hefty number of credits-- particularly in lab sciences.

Thanks for your insight!
