<p>Columbia is need-blind, so it doesn’t matter. You should apply if you need it.</p>
<p>If you apply to transfer to SEAS, then you’ll have a much better chance. But something must be done about the low reading/writing scores. Did you get any 5’s on the English APs? That would put you in a position to say that the SAT didn’t treat you right, but you are still skilled in these areas.</p>
<p>Your GPA being a 3.9 would also help.</p>
<p>However, none of this rules anything out. Most of transferring is in the essay. You could honestly have a 3.3, but if you convey something special, you’ll be accepted. Craft a narrative about “why now?” and “why columbia.” It never hurts to try…</p>
