Transfer chances

I am currently a 1st semster freshman. I wanna transfer in my sophomore year and attand the new school in junior year.

However, I got a bad score in micro this semester which will hurt my gpa a lot.

Is it possible to take AP and cover the grade I got here?

If isn't, what about taking summer school that life my gpa up?

thx!

No, an AP will not mitigate grades you get in college. The best thing to do is not necessarily summer school, but trucking along as a regular full-time student and getting mostly A’s.

is it possible to transfer to columiba, wharton, u of chicago with a barely 3.8 gpa?

from where?

All are top, but 3.8 GPA pending on course difficulty and what school can get you into one of three possibly.

It depends what kind of school you want to transfer to, and what your gpa will be. I think you can get into some state universities with a 3.0.

I feel your pain, though. I didn’t have the grades to transfer until last year (junior year), and at that point it didn’t even seem worth it.

But I’d look into a variety of schools, and maybe take some easy classes to get your gpa up fast if you seriously want to transfer.
