transfer chances

Hi,
I would love to attend MSU. I have currently finished 45 credits at a four year university in Boston. My GPA is a 3.4. By the time I would enroll, I would have completed 62 credits.
Since I have 45 credits, SAT and high school transcript are irrelevant.
ECs are good but not great. Trying to write a well written essay.
Since I am out of state, I know it will be a lot more difficult.
Anyone think I have a shot? Any input would be great.
Thanks.

Pretty good shot. The consensus on here is 3.3+ is pretty good. There is also suggestion that OOS is actually a boost because colleges in Michigan need more revenue.

Best of luck!

Thanks, but I am wondering if I can make into the business school. I have taken most of the requirements but I am not sure if my GPA is good enough.
Therefore I am leaning towards applying for the communication major.
I feel there would be less requirements and a little less competitive.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks

Oh… the business school is another matter entirely. That I can honestly not help you with, perhaps fa-la can? If I recall correctly, she knows a bit about it.

Good luck :D

I just really would like to know which major I would have the best shot of getting into.
with 45 credits already under my belt, I need to decide on a major.
I have taken precalc, finite, business law, management course, marketing, micro, two freshmen english courses, professional communication, freshmen seminar, history in empires and globalization, computer course on info tech and productivity, business ethics and law,
I am currently enrolled in STATS, ACCT, MACRO, Management information class, and an organizational behavior class.
Judging by these courses, I am just not sure if I could fit in the business school, or if I should apply for a communications major.
Really confused on what I should do.
