Hey,

I'm a prospective transfer student from Michigan State. I finished my first year there as an econ major and decided to not return. When I left, I had completed 24 credits and had only taken one calculus course due to starting in precalc.

Since I did not fulfill the expectations to become a math major - two semesters of calculus courses - I decided to just apply as an econ major in hopes of changing to math as soon as possible. I'm wondering when that will be. Can I switch to math as soon as I get to orientation or would I have to take the next level of calculus before I switched? I realize math and econ are in different colleges -- would that make the process more difficult?

Thanks
