Transfer College Credit from High School??

Hi, sorry if this question has already been posted, but i hope someone would be able to give me some answers regarding it.

Several of my high school courses have allowed me to get college credit from the University of Albany. I just called up the University, and found out that i have 12 credits for Advanced Methods of Research (science course) and 4 credits for Spanish. Does anyone know if these can be transferred as an undergrad to Harvard College?

Thanks

Very likely NOT.

As far as I know, Harvard does not accept any courses other than those taken at Harvard College or at summer school. It only accepts AP credit when you apply for Advanced Standing (if you want to graduate in three years).

But how is this different from transfering credit as a transfer student?

I am not sure but whether the giving of credit for AP courses to lobtain advanced standing may have been discontinued or drastically reduced.

It's not really different, except for the fact that you aren't a transfer student.

Check out this page here - <a href="http://college.harvard.edu/%7Efdo//publications/as0506/general.htm#4%5B/url%5D">http://college.harvard.edu/~fdo//publications/as0506/general.htm#4</a></p>

In particular:
"Credit toward the bachelor's degree for new students not admitted as transfer students is offered only on the basis of AP or IB examinations (or other reviewed international credentials). The College does not grant credit toward a Harvard degree for courses taken at other universities prior to matriculation."
