Transfer Confusion

Long Story Short As Possible,

Went away to Albright College in Reading, PA my first semester in 2007, hated it, very small and horrible roommate, bad overall experience. Came back home to commute to C.W. Post until I figured out what I wanted to do, I am now in my 2nd semester of my sophomore year and I am ready to make my next move. I was considering arts management as my major but am probably going to go for a Business Administration.

My composite GPA is 3.4. but I am unsure of what I want to do. Should I stick around Post where I am sort of comfortable but not a fan of the school and party life or should I start over and go somewhere in New York or south? What is some advice to do in my position, I always wanted to go away and enjoy myself but I am doubting that now since it is a big move.

i applied to c.w. post and decided to commute to stony brook instead. better academics and everyone who goes there is extremely nice and willing to help. lots of transfers so you won't feel alone. good programs, you'll learn a lot. there's always stuff going on too so you won't get bored.

Why not transfer to one of the SUNY schools? If you don't transfer now to begin as a junior in a new school then it probably doesn't make sense to transfer. You could try for Buffalo, Oneonta, New Paltz (my personal fav), Albany. If you always wanted to go away to school there is no reason why you shouldn't get to experience it.

Binghamton has a GREAT business school (ranked 40th in the nation), but it's a big part school and I hate it here, so do your research.

Also, it's REALLY cold.
