TRANSFER: Cornell to Vanderbilt Chance

Okay so I've been at Cornell for almost a month now and already am setting up my application for Vanderbilt. What are my chances:

HS:
Rigorous, Private; California
GPA: 3.77
EC: Varsity Cross country (went to State), Varsity Soccer co-captain, Work experience, Honors Award in Personal Ethics & Dance, volunteer hours at a youth center a tutor and sports mentor
Took a summer engineering course at USC and got an A

College: Cornell, Math major (but probably gonna switch)
First Semester Courses: BioG 1440, Chem 2070, Psych 1101, Math 1110 (Calc I), Yoga (required PE)

STANDARDIZED TESTS
ACT composite: 32
Math: 34
Science: 33
Writing: 30
English: 31

SAT Subject Tests
Math: 760
English: 710

Also getting some (possible) heavy-hitters to write me a letter of rec and set up an interview

Will Vandy like that I'm coming from an Ivy League?

If you get a high GPA this year at Cornell, you have a strong chance of transferring to Vandy :)

Could you explain what it is about Cornell that is making you want to transfer already without at least waiting it out a bit to see if things get better?

I think you have a pretty good chance. I think they will like that you’re coming from an Ivy! P.S., you are going to love it; my brother is going there and never wants to leave!
