So I am applying to transfer from NYU. However, I just read over the transfer course requirements on UVA’s website and I don’t have a lot of them from freshman year, including the foreign language requirement and math requirement.
I was wondering if you don’t have the course requirements listed on their website if thats basically an auto - rejection? Is there any point in applying?
I’m not entirely qualified to give you a solid answer on this, but I’m pretty sure you’re considered a viable transfer student as long as you have at least 24 college credits under your belt. If you really want to go to UVa, it’s definitely worth a shot in applying
The website said they prefer transfers who have completed 2 years of college. I don’t know how much they follow that intent. If you had completed 2 years at another college, it would be easier to complete all of those courses.
