I am transferring to a new school and they asked me to provide syllabi for basically all more courses in order to grant credit for them. I am transferring from a state university. I have thrown most of my old syllabi away. Could anyone give me advice on how to obtain a lot of these?

I found I can get syllabi for some of my courses online; however, not all of them were from the same professor that I had. Do you think this will matter?

Dude, I recently posted a similar topic - we should team up and be like, the Syllabus Team or something.

this sucks because no one keeps their syllabi and now I have to go around and get them all

Try emailing the teachers?

hey i had the same problem. for some reason, intro to philosophy and intro to psychology at IU didnt transfer credit for intro to philosophy and intro to psychology at the university of illinois. i didnt have the syllabi either, so I just eamiled the profs. one i got right away, but the other took some time for them to get back to me. i hope my credits end up transferring and i wish you the best of luck!

do you think it matters if the syllabus is not from the same teacher I had if it is a syllabus for the same course?

why don't you just send the school you're transferring to a copy of the course descriptions. They usually give a short description on what the class will be about, highlighting the main objectives that the professor will introduce. Good course descriptions can always be found on your schools website along with older course descriptions from previous years. That way, if the professor that taught that course is no longer working at said university, you can still obtain an old copy of what he/she had entailed their course to teach.
