I know some colleges only count a certain amount of credits (usually no more than 70), but do any colleges not accept transfer students who have over a certain amount of credits?

The admittance of a transfer student is not related to how many units they have done...i mean...just because you have more credits than they accept doesn't mean you won't be accepted.

Just..those extra credits would be a "waste" because they won't transfer over.

For some schools, it is.

Where is that warning/disclaimer, sofa?

I was worried about this too (still am). I called a couple of colleges that I'm serious about and some said they have cut-offs (like 60 or something for semester students) and some said they don't care but there is a 2 year residency requirement, and students usually end up double majoring or something (Northwestern). I think the latter is a pretty sweet deal. While I can finish in 1 year at my current uni and pay only 4K more after this semester to graduate (Baruch College), I understand why they want us to be there at least 2 years and at least I would be able to take the minimum amount of classes every quarter/semester and choose classes that I really care about.

If you already have a list of colleges in mind, I suggest calling them and asking because it changes.

if you're from a cc, it doesn't matter since cc's don't offer upper div courses
