Transfer Credit Reports

Is anyone's transfer credit report (under 'My Academics') filled out yet? It's making it hard to choose classes since I have no clue what courses have counted. I'm just guessing by what Assist says. It's a bit worrying since orientation is this Friday.

Also, since I started at a CC in Fall 2009 do I still follow the general ed requirements for pre-Fall 2010 students?

That is weird because my transfer credit has been filled out. Maybe it depends on who your major advisor is. I have a biology advisor. Did they request for you to send them your unofficial transcripts? That’s what they had me do in order to transfer my credit.

Well I’m a computer science major so yes, Baskin requested an unofficial transcript. I sent one sometime around mid-June but they never responded to confirm my submission or to answer the question I asked in the email. It said to send them in by July 1st and I never received any reminder about the deadline so I assumed that meant they acknowledged receiving it. Never got one of those ‘delivery failure’ messages either so they got it.

I also sent them another email a couple weeks ago with a another question and they never responded to that one either.

They also sent me an email saying that they had articulated my transfer coursework but I saw it on myucsc before they sent me the email. Yeah ucsc is pretty slow at replying back to emails sometimes. I still have a couple of emails that they have yet to respond to about official transcripts so I know how you feel. I hope they get back to you before orientation!

Gave Baskin a call today. Got either a fax machine noise or a busy signal for the first five tries, but I eventually got a human being (yay!).

She confirmed that they received all my transcripts and that, at orientation, an adviser will show me what credit I received and what to sign up for. She said the credit report on myUCSC will be updated this Friday (probably). I guess it’s different for how each department does it.
