Through dual enrollment, I will have about a year’s worth of credits to transfer. I was looking at their transfer credit tables, and one of them said that my ECON 1101 class at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities had a course equivalency of EC 110 and EC 197. EC 197 isn’t a course at the University of Alabama, and apparently 197 means its an elective credit. So does that mean I would get 6 credits, or did they add the elective part so that ECON 1101 would transfer 4 credits instead of 3, which would be the case if only EC 110 was included?
They have added 197 so that the credits at Alabama match the credits of the course you took at the University of Minnesota.
