Hi everyone,
I will be attending UT Dallas this fall. I’m taking classes at Collin College this summer to get some credits out of the way. However, I found out that Collin College classes don’t affect your GPA at UT Dallas. If I get a C, for example, which is still a passing grade, would it affect me in the long term at UT Dallas? Would this C appear on my transcript even if it doesn’t factor into my GPA. I took a really hard class at Collin so that’s why I’m asking.
1 C won't matter at all in the grand scheme of things whether it's counted in your GPA or not. That C won't count in your UTD GPA, but if you were to go to law school, that C would.
If you’re going to be a CEO, stop worrying about everything little meaningless things.
Transfer grades do not get counted in your GPA. Only classes in which you make a C or better will transfer.
All transfer credits will appear on your UTD transcript and yes you have to report all classes even if the grade is low enough that you won’t get credit for it.
@getoveritnow Haha thanks! The reason why I’m scared if the Collin grade would show up on my UTD transcript is because I plan on transferring to another school after my first/second year. Since it does show on my UTD transcript, would it hurt me when transferring?
@awintx Yeah, I knew the transfer credit would appear but I didn’t know whether the Collin College grade would appear.
CEO, think big picture. You create multiple threads worrying about every little thing. Just think about it. No one cares about one C. No admission officer has time to examine little details.
