Transfer Credits Question

When schools say "need 30 or more credits", do they mean transferable credits or total credits? Kind of stupid question but thought I'd ask anyway.

Very few college credits are non-transferable. They will be counted as elective credits. 2 separate private colleges accepted a tennis class as an elective despite offering no health or physical education classes. However, I doubt a school will accept a 0xx-level remedial class listed as non-credit at your current institution.

When colleges request 30 or more credits, they’re looking for you to 1) stay on track to graduate on time, 2) hold a sufficient academic record to be considered for admission.

Okay thanks. So I’m assuming it is total credits then.
