Transfer credits

UF only takes 60 credits right? I'm coming in with 66.

So say I got 2 C's my freshman year in elective classes and this past summer I took two extra elective classes (political science classes) and got 2 A's. Would I be able to ask them to drop my previous elective classes in favor of the most recent A's?

Has anyone had a similar experience like this?

uf will give credit for 60 credits and sometimes more depending on how the credits fufill requirements. you can not pick and choose grades. your gpa will be calculated using grades from all 66 credits and they will consider all credits in their admissions decision even if they do not take all 66 credits.

I’ve already been admitted.

I was just wondering how the handle a situation where there is 66 credits and they won’t allow 6 credits in and of course I would prefer if they drop my 2 C’s.

I would see an advisor. the thing is with grades your gpa at uf is nonexistent until the end of your first semester. they don’t include transfer course grades in the uf gpa. you cant “get rid” of the grades as all coursework regardless of where you took it and how many credit will show up on your transcript but your gpa at uf will only be based on uf courses so it really doesn’t matter what elective they put in as long as it fulfills degree requirements because it has no effect on your uf gpa but on your transcript all 66 credits and grades will be there
