My son is taking a finite math course at a community college this summer. It looks like he won't do much better than a C+. If, and when, he applies to Kelley, will his grade be posted on his transcript, or just the credit. If the grade is there, should he consider not sending his grade and retaking the class at IU? I hope he can get by with the credit as there will be enough tough weeder courses and math is not his strength.

The grade would not count in his GPA at IU. It would appear on his transfer credit report, but not on the transcript. More here:http://www.indiana.edu/~iuadmit/transfer/tc_credit.shtml

Just the credit transfers, not the grade. As long as he gets a C, he gets credit for the course. It won't hurt him for admission to the school.

Thanks. That makes me feel better.
