transfer credits???

Yes, I posted this in 2 forums because its important and I feel like it could fit in either one

So anyways, I'm currently working on getting my associates of arts in business, I'm a part student with a part time job. My plan is to get an entry level job in the field after I graduate, and then continue my education to get my bachelors degree (hopefully my job will pay for it)

My question is, is there a limit to how old college transfer credits can be??? I know for most colleges, they wont accept transfer credits around 7-10 years old. But what about if they were part of the associates degree that I graduated with, idk would that make them transferable no matter how old they were???

Like say I graduated with the associates degree and got a job, then 15 years later I decide I want to go back to school and get my bachelors (not that I would wait that long, I'm just saying), would those credits from 15 years ago still be transferable??? Or would I have to start all over again???

Idk how does your college do it??? If you don't, please find out if you can

thank you

I do know of schools that would accept the classes from your associates that would apply toward the 4 year degree program. Every school is different, though, and it also depends on the school from which you are transferring credits. For example, if you went to a CC in my state & got an associates in the right area, you'd automatically get 2 years' credit for a 4 year degree. Of course, if your associates & bachelors programs weren't aligned, you'd just get credit for the courses appropriate to the bacholors degree. My suggestion is to try to work with the school to get as many credits to transfer as possible.

As for the time limitations, that also depends on the school. When I applied to an MBA program, I got credit for prereq classes from my 9 year old undergrad degree.
