<p>hello...any transfer student planning to attend the transfer day this coming 21st?</p>
<p>I suspect that a lot of the transfer students are still hovering around the UC transfer forum. </p>
<p>I am going, my classes end next week and I’ll be going on a tour of the various campuses since I’ve only been to Davis so far.</p>
<p>I will be going as well. Since Im considering uc merced as an option.</p>
<p>yah i am also looking forward to this transfer day too… we ll see how it turns out!! </p>

<p>I come from orange county in SoCal… I live like 2 mins away from UC Irvine… and yes there is going to be a big difference between where I live and the city of merced(from what I’ve been told). Even the CC that I go to is bigger than the whole UCM campus! but I guess if the campus is cool and the students are chill it shouldn’t be bad tho, right?
Well UCM is where SoCal meet NorCal afterall. So I guess there will be a good number of students just like me…

<p>sorry for the late response kingehp, finals week sooo, been busy with all the classes… yess definitly would be a huge change for!! but you right, as long as campus is cool and students there are cool, then it wouldnt be that bad i hope 
… i dont live too far from UCM, about two hrs, live in Sacramento… but UCM is still a huge change for me, coming from sacramento, i tend to have a pretty busy social life here in Sac…got lots of family and friends here and in merced no one… so hoping to make alot of friends at UCM and also find as much fun things to do in Merced :/… i am more of a going out person then stuck in my room…soo we ll see…</p>

<p>i am Raneeta ( Neeta) … not really, i am planning to live off campus, maybe rent a room with other students. I dont like the fact of sharing bathrooms with alot of people, and also i am very picky in what i eat , and not to lazy in cooking soo off campus would work for me !! really? then i guess i dont have a choice but to live off campus :)</p>

<p>Its nice cyber-meeting u neeta. Actually I was planning to live on campus for 2 major reasons: get to know people and be close to classes and avoid driving to school every single day(like i do now). But I guess thats not much of an option since they dont offer housing for the next ac. year. So I guess I’ll just rent a place with some other students… and It would be a lot cheaper. If u have CC on ur phone hit me up on here on the 21st so we can meet & u’ll be my first UCM friend haha </p>

<p>Hi! Yea Im sure that I wanna go to UCM. I actually visited the campus yesterday and I liked it. The only thing I didnt like was the city cuz it looked boring but all the students I talked to told me that they have lots of events and stuff going on at ucm that u wont get bored anyways. So with that in mind, I will go to ucm. </p>

<p>It was good. I kinda changed my views about ucm since it was my first time seeing the campus. I checked out the offch on the usm housing website but its too early to look for a house since most of the posts are for summer not fall. And I’ll be outta the country in a few days till the first week of aug. so I wont be able to make it to orientation but I’ve already talked to my advisor so its all good. How about u? How did u like it? And any chance finding a place?</p>
