So I’m auditioning as a transfer for the BFA Acting program @ Umich. I really need to get my first choice audition ( so I don’t miss school) for which the due date was Nov 1st. I have turned every thing/ postmarked everything by that date except… I’m a freshman at another BFA program, and don’t have any semesters of college on my transcript, and my first semester grades won’t be in until late December. Since I know one has to pass the academic screening before he/she gets an audition date, do you think that they will use all of the other information for the screening this year or push me back until they get my transcript for this year, giving me an audition date that I can’t make…
I passed the screening last year with the information that they currently have. I’m just worried that they won’t tell me if I get and audition date until they have my college transcript (over winter break) and the Audition in Jan. 15 (my school’s winter break).
Help please?
Thanks!

Monologue, why don’t you call the department and explain your circumstances? We found them quite willing to work with us last year when my son got sick and we had to reschedule. Rather than speculating, you’ll have an answer straight from the source.

I agree with Perischack.
Just CALL the school of music office.

Call Laura Hoffman (Dean of Admissions for the School of Music).
Her number is 734-764-0593.

Good luck!

^ I had called/emailed before but maybe it was a number/email address thats not currently in use because I didn’t get a response :/

But shelleysings, thanks for that number- she got back right away, and I’m all set :)

Thanks!
