Transfer decision

Does any transfer student receive decision yet? I am kinda nervous already. I applied for summer quarter and they claimed that the decision should be made in May. Although it is just first day in May, god I hate waiting!

additional questions: do transfer applications have waitlist things? If yes, then how do i find out whether i am waitlisted or not.

I heart that for freshmen appliers, if their unofficial transcript loaded that means they are almost there. Do they do same thing for transfer appliers?
My unofficial transcript did not loaded yet, does that means I am rejected?

nervous!

Nope, nothing yet. I’m a Fall transfer from another university. Last time I asked, the admissions people told me they were on track and decisions would probably be out a little earlier than stated on the admissions website. mid-may to mid-june sounds about right.

I am also a fall transfer and when I spoke with admissions last week, they said one could expect to hear between now and July. If you’re a summer transfer I’m sure you’ll know shortly. Good luck!

I’m a summer transfer too. An admissions person told me at the end of april that we should expect decisions from the end of april to early june… i hate waiting and i’m really nervous too! haven’t gotten anything yet either, though.

The thing I’m worried about is registration! Hopefully we receive enough notice to be able to register in period II. Otherwise we’ll have to late-add our courses.

EDIT: I’m an Autumn applicant.

I have to say being a fall transfer applicant requires an extreme amount of patience. Unfortunately, mine is wearing pretty thin. I’ve been accepted to WSU, but it would require my whole family to undergo a pretty massive relocation. Here’s to hoping we all hear earlier than expected and my poor husband can get a reprieve from my UW anxiety.

@psychguy i don’t think you should be worried much, especially if all you have left are mainly your major classes. They had spots and even special classes reserved for us, transfers, at Foster. I assume that others schools have something similar.

@seatac, I’m not too worried about my psych courses. PSYCH 209 has entire sections reserved for transfer students. I’m just worried about not being able to register for my minor courses, like MATH 300.

I am curious how my situation is going to play out. I applied to transfer from a non-traditional university to UW’s microbiology program. I have already taken Gen Chem, Gen Bio, 1 year of Organic Chem, and 2 quarters of Biochem, plus undergrad research… I am really not sure how they are going to transfer my credit and if coming from a non-traditional (narrative evals) school will cause them to deny me. I would really like to know soon because I need to start planning for next year if I am going to be denied…

is anyone transferring with less than 90 transferable credits?

@psychguy, I’m pretty sure you would be able to get an add code OR there should be also spaces reserved (because for somebody this class might be their major).

@masha000 I will have completed over 90 credits by the time of transfer, but there were a couple classes that don’t match up so if I am admitted,it will be with 80-85 credits.

just got email reply from admission, they only said they will send out decision very soon. But I was asking for a exactly date… never mind. just keep calm and patient… probably it will come out tomorrow. lol Hope both of us can get accepted.

@masha000 By the way, is there anything on your unofficial transcript?

Came to ask something similar. They said decisions have been made and I’d be notified by mail but feeling really anxious, haha. Noticed my unofficial transcript lists a student number, class standing, and the major I applied into, does that mean anything?

did you apply for summer or fall?

I applied for fall

You are in. Congrats.

Ahh I really hope so! Thanks :)

@kettles I dont know, mine is also show exactly like yours, but it was long time ago before the decision was made. I guess it will display like that when you register your UW account
