@Rockyuw, nope. Hopefully next week, if accepted…:(

Just thought I would share that I was accepted into Foster about a week and a half ago, and then I received my general admission letter from UW on Saturday, May 18th!

My info:
Major: Business major
GPA: 3.84
Extracurriculars: Phi Theta Kappa officer, peer tutor

Also, my transcript still hasn’t loaded… It only shows credit for my high school foreign language component. -I don’t think the transcript thing is a very good indicator of acceptance or lack thereof, but that’s just my opinion!

Good luck to everyone!

summer or fall?

Acceptance for fall 2013

Any engineering majors (specifically MechE), hear about when we’re supposed to hear from the department/school? I don’t know why, but engineering always seems to be the last to know.

Also, in general, does the quality of the institution you’re transferring from make a difference? My grades are pretty average, but they came from a top 10 school in the field, so I’m hoping that might even it out a bit.

I guess engineering students will the last ones to hear back from the school and the department since the applications are not going to open until June 20 and the deadline is July 1st. And the general uw will have to wait for the department first before they start review the general applications. Does it make sense?

any transfer (CS major) got accepted? I am still waiting so frustrating. My unofficial transcript doesn’t load still

rockyuw, if that was the case, I guess I would have to wait a bit longer :|

It got me confused sometimes. I called the uw just now to double check. And they said it should be separate from the general admission to the department. So, all of the students applied to the general uw will be expected to hear back from them from beginning of June to the end of July. And all the denied or accepted letters will be sent out at the same time

Did anyone hear any news from the UW yet?

My unofficial transcript just loaded! Does that mean I’m in?!?!

Yes, if your unofficial transcript loaded, take it as an acceptance, may I ask what major you’re applying for and are you a fall applicant?

Yes, I’m a fall transfer to UW Seattle. I’m an early childhood education major and I was accepted to the college of education a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah 80-90% means that you got in. Congrats

Can you share your stats please?

80-90% what? I’m not sure I understand your comment. Also, my unofficial transcript loaded and says I’m a junior.

I don’t have any sat/act test scores because I’m a high school dropout, but I’m a Washington community college transfer. 100 credits, Associate of Arts DTA degree, 3.81 GPA, phi theta kappa, lots of volunteer/non-profit work.

So basically, no one has heard back yet unless they applied to fosters or other specific programs? I guess we really do have to wait till June/July, I hate needing to be patient!!

I applied to microbiology undergrad non-competitive admission. no response yet

I’m a summer applicant to the Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies (GWSS) major. I chose the major because I was not competitive for other majors nor did I meet the minimum admission requirements for many of them, largely because the Washington Community College system does not offer equivalent courses. I plan to change majors and possibly get a minor in GWSS. My GPA including all community college courses at time of application was 3.48. I had 137 credits at time of application, so they did not accept SAT or ACT scores (mine were high). I submitted no letters of recommendation and I am guessing my essay was above average, though certainly still flawed. I am involved in the local community as a volunteer, although I am not currently putting in many hours. My unofficial myuw transcript lists me as a junior with a student ID number, so I assume I have been accepted.

What do I do now? Obviously I wait for official acceptance materials, but does anyone have knowledge of the process from here? When are the summer transfer orientations?

Anybody heard back yet?
