Just got my second letter, after petitioning my denial I had my admissions overturned and was accepted today. 2 weeks since I submitted to the day.

Congrats to everyone who has been newly accepted!

@mavric1298 Kudos to you for successfully appealing the decision!

Just received an email from the mechanical engineering department and I was accepted. ME is my second choice, Civil is my first choice, but still haven’t heard back from the CEE dept. I have my fingers crossed though.

Just received my acceptance in to the CEE dept!

My room mate got accepted into the civil engineering department last night through email

Those of you getting accepted - did your unofficial transcript load and/or the message on your application change?

Just got accepted to the CEE department. Does that mean I have to wait for the decision from the university?

mnalivayko: My unofficial transcripts did load with my declared major shortly before I got my acceptance letter. The application status on myuw also changed but I didn’t notice that until after I received my letter. I’m not sure if that happens 100% of the time but that was how it turned out for me.

Eitherway… you’re probably going to hear back pretty soon.

What does it say on myuw?

How do I know weather the university has accepted me or not? Do I get an e-mail or mail?

Do I suppose to accept the CEE department in order to get accepted to the university?

How do guys are checking weather your transcript is loaded or not?

Is it on myuw or in college of engineering admission web page?

Here is the order of events for me:

EE email last Thursday

Unofficial transcript loaded Friday evening (9:00pm)

NSEOF packet (oversized) came Saturday

BIG envelope (letter of admission) came yesterday

The unofficial transcript can be found on MyUW under the “admissions” tab, and the on the bottom right-hand size of the page.

My status has changed to “We received your confirmation payment. Thank you for choosing the UW Seattle!! If you have not already done so, contact the First Year Programs Office to select an advising and orientation session, which is also when you will register for classes.” now that I have paid my NSEOF.

I’ve also heard that you should contact your department if you don’t get anything from the university by the end of this week. They will talk with the university to get you in.

Cheers all!

Tsenguunee - if you got into the engineering department then you’re most likely accepted to the school… you could call them and double check if you need to.

Thank you all! That was really helpful. My unofficial transcript is not loading, so I guess I have to wait then. I’ll e-mail my department if my status is not going to change.

Whats your major? I believe all the decisions were already sent out. Shoukd contact the department asap!

I’m mechanical engineering and still have not heard back either.

@nmanvayko

i have not heard bk from mechanical engineering neither…just got accepted to industrial engineering . But ME is my 1st choice. I called ME yesterday and they said r going to send out admission today also.
Good luck!

Do you guys know if the department rejection letter goes in email or mail? Kind of worrying abt that now. My admission status shows that the admission decision email has not sent yet.

Please help. Thx

General admission decisions come by MAIL, department decisions come by EMAIL. Finally got the mail today!!! The big yellow envelope!

I thought the department decisions were all through email, but all of the email decisions I’ve heard of have been acceptances. The lady from the ME department said they sent out some decisions in the mail yesterday. I think rejections are sent through mail.

My unofficial transcript finally loaded! It doesn’t show any of my transfer credits yet, but it has my student id number.
