Hey, I'm applying as a transfer to NYU and I just called in today to check to see if all my application materials were in. No one was there so I left a message. A couple hours of later, they call back and tell me that they completed the application and that I can call back in 7 days for an answer! This seems weird to me--it's way too early! Is this good or bad, an early completion..?

What school did you apply to? I'm hoping to hear back from Stern soon, but apparently they were working on stern tranfers until June last year....

Also, when did you submit your application? Was it much before the deadline? I submitted mine back in January, so I'm hoping it may be one of the first to get reviewed.

Gallatin. I submitted my app right on the deadline..so I think it's weird that my app is being reviewed this week..so I figured out that what the lady told me was that my app is complete as in all the materials are in. But she said I'd have a status update iwthin 7 days...weird.

I thought they didn't give app decisions over the phone...hmm. Anyway, I called before too, and they said they would start sending their decisions like the end of April. I'm sooooo anxious! What were your stats, if you don't mind my asking?

Yeah I'm really nervous too.. I had a 3.6 in high school.. a 3.4 here.. and I'm using my act score, which is like a 28. I'm applying for gallatin.

I called a few days ago (applying for Steinhardt) and they told me they would send out my decision in about two weeks. I applied back in early Jan. Does anyone know if transfers (on average) seem to get just as much fin. aid as RD?

Transfers, if I've heard correctly, are pretty much screwed with Fin Aid. Sucks, huh? :-(
