Transfer decisions Fall 2014

Has anyone been accepted yet?

I’m a prospective transfer student too. My status changed from “complete” to “under review” this morning, so I’m hoping that means a decision will be on the way soon!

Same here for my son. Good luck!

What’s your major? He is engineering.

Food Science. Best of luck to your son, too! I’ve heard from a few students that decision letters often come before the status changes online. Waiting is the hardest part!

He applied rather late, in April just before the deadline, so I don’t expect an answer real soon?

I applied close to April 15 too and the admissions office said that most applicants get notified by the end of May.

I applied at the end of March and last week I got accepted for a second bachelors. I got the letter in the mail a few days before the website actually showed me as being accepted.

How long after it switched to “under review” on spire did you get the letter in the mail?

I got the letter only 2 days after my status changed to “under review”! My status changed on around May 12-ish, but one of the forms in the packet (“admission action form”) is dated May 1, so my application was being reviewed long before it showed up as such online.

I just got the letter in the mail today, and was accepted as a transfer, and into the Food Science major as well! Couldn’t be happier. The financial aid packet did not come with the acceptance letter, so I guess they are mailing that separately. I wish everyone the best in their journeys/decisions!

Congratulations Marigold and secondbachelors! Wish you much success there!

congrats marigold  and ty ddotjon

I called about finaid (and a few other questions) and they told me I would have it by June 1. In my case I am only eligible for federal loans so my decision to go is not hinging on the finaid packet, but if you reallllly need to discuss finances you can talk one of their finaid counselors to get a better idea of costs before putting the deposit down.
