Transfer Decisions for Fall of 2013

I'm wondering when transfer applicants get a response regarding their admission for fall of 2013?

I know it is completely different if you have less than 30 hours, but I do have more than 30 hours of coursework.

Does anyone know when transfer applicants start hearing back?

From what I can tell, around the middle of March at the soonest.

My thing currently says “application is in review”. Hard not to be impatient!!

Ramaiz,

When did you submit your application?

My application is in review as well, having applied January 13th… not holding my breath for a response anytime soon though, having looked through prior year’s transfer threads.

I applied at the beginning of January. I already sent in all my documents and my application is complete, but I only have 27 hours. This is the message I got.

“Your application for transfer admission is complete except for the required 30 semester hours of transfer coursework.”

Question: I have two letters of rec. being sent in. One of them should be sent but the other is taking forever to get it out. Does it have to be in before March 1st? I’ve already submitted my application electronically but does this last letter HAVE to be in by March 1st as well? Thanks!

I applied at the end of December.

Does anyone know if its true that if you already have 30 credit hours excluding the spring semester, then ut will make a decision right away? I hope this is not the case cause I have more than 30 hours (including ap credits) and only had like a 3.75 my fall semester. Im pretty sure I can get a 4.0 in the spring semester but will they not look at that?

I’m pretty certain they won’t make a decision until ALL of your grades are posted. I think of it like this: if someone was to get accepted with a 3.5 before their spring grades posted, if that person bombed their spring semester (say 2.0), that would mean someone got admitted who didn’t meet the general trends. As always, call admissions to have the factual answer given to you.

UTAustin will give you a decision sometime after March 1st if excluding your spring semester coursework you have 30hrs. If they deny you can appeal it with your new spring semester GPA and coursework. If you don’t already have your 30hrs they put it aside and you have until June 1st to send an official transcript of your final grades to them, and then wait for an admission decision.

So lavin, if I have 29 hours but have 17 hours pending for my spring semester does this mean they won’t look at my transcript till June? The UT Direct status says my application is complete and awaiting submission unlike others on here where theres say “Awaiting 30 hours of credit work”. Since mine doesn’t say that does that mean I’ll get reviewed or do I still have to wait till June and resubmit my transcript by then?

Oatman,
I’m in the same position. I asked this Q in another thread and it looks like you’ll know your decision in June some time after you resubmit your transcript.

So wait Hughstan, that’s kind of dumb don’t ya think? We had to pay to get our transcript transferred just for them to tell us we have to pay again before they’ll even view it?
