Transfer Decisions - Received

I received my transfer acceptance to Stern today. In speaking to admissions earlier in the week they said that the first batch of acceptances went out on Monday.

Wow, that's awesome! Congrats! I'm waiting to hear on my transfer status for Steinhardt. What were your stats, if you don't mind my asking?

johnb1234 where are you located?

I live in NJ, went to a somewhat highly ranked public school, but in terms of timing for receiving the letter I go to school in Delaware.

Think that's about everything...looking forward to fall 05!

Congrats!!
I got accepted to Stern too, just got the letter today

johnb1234, when you said that the first batch of acceptances was sent out, that means they will be sending more acceptance letters soon right?

I just checked the mail and got a big envelope from NYU! I cant believe transfer decisions are coming so early. It seems odd. But I am so excited. I got a $7500 CAS Scholarship... Is that good or bad for transfer finaid standards? I didnt get anything else and Im afraid the price is going to be too much for us.

Can I ask what your stats were? I'm getting kind of nervous that everyone is getting responses!! (OK, OK, I know I'm being a bit overdramatic...after all you just got yours today!)

Easymack, $7500 for a transfer is HUGE...feel fortunate.

By the way, the first post of mine on this thread....I did not make it. I have no idea how it got there... I'm scratching my head.

I only have one semester of college grades to show, but here you go:

High school:
ECs= not alot of them. No sports. I have been working since the day I turned 15, usually at least 20 hours a week.
Awards= Honor Scholar, Bank of America Social Sciences Award, National Merit Semifinalist
AP Scores:
European History=3
US History=5
Biology=4
US Government=4
English Literature=4
Calculus BC=5

College:
GPA= 3.7 (I got straight A's last semester and I should again this semester. The B's are from 2 classes I took while a junior in high school.)
ECs= I dont have any. I work. This is definitely my super-weak spot.

I live in CA, but I turned in my application pretty early. Id say it was late February, so I wouldnt be worried about not hearing back yet. Theres still lots of time.
