Transfer decisions?

Ahh, the mid-term grades were mandatory…oops haha. My focus is on USC… USD’s more of a backup, especially since USD’s financial aid for transfers is so lacking.

Economics or Business with Math double major with a double minor in Japanese and Chinese.

@summer that’s awesome you’re comm too! I hope we all hear soon. Good luck!

@nan USC and USD are so different, are you choosing them for your major?

Both USD and USC have great business programs. Both have their ups and downs, I am born and raised in San Diego and believe it’s the finest city in the world. However, USC has a vastly extensive network along with terrific financial aid.

I’ll also be applying to UCSD/USC for 2013-2014 haha (if i don’t get into USC this year), I just need to be close to home next semester because of family problems.

I’m simply afraid USD will just cost too much to stay! That’s the main reason! :frowning:

My godmother worked for them and said every year they slowly take away your financial aid, so by senior year you’re paying a lot more than you used to. :|

That all makes sense plus aid too. Sorry to hear about family issues :frowning: My parents went to USC so I know the networking is great. Have you been to campus much?

Sorry probably should stick to USD topics!

Yep yep sorry about that, USD’s campus is beautiful. It’s in Linda Vista, which is a meh neighborhood in San Diego, but the campus itself is gorgeous. My home is about a 10 minute drive away. Have you been? If not, I suggest you go right away…you won’t be disappointed. :)

Yes I have and it is awesome! Why is Linda Vista so-so?

I live in south Clairemont, so about 5 minutes away from LV. I have a bunch of friends that live in LV and there are SOME parts of it that aren’t very nice, but USD is in a pretty good part of it I guess…

LV is definitely not the worst neighborhood in San Diego (Ex: City Heights, Logan Heights, El Cajon, etc.), it’s just not one of the “nicer” ones either (Ex: La Jolla, University City, Torrey Pines, etc.).

Any more acceptances from USD yet guys?

unfortunately no word on my end yet =/

Any acceptances recently? Still waiting…

Same here still waiting… I applied around january 15 and my status says that the application is ready to be reviewed…

For those of you who are still waiting, make sure you submitted your mid term grades with the midterm progress report on the USD website.

I faxed to them couple of weeks ago. I got accepted last fall '11 but i forgot to differ my application and they told me to reapply for this fall 2012. I emailed E. Castillo and he told me that the number of applicants increased by 25% this year thats why its taking a little longer to here back from them.

I found out on tuesday that i got accepted! I saw the admitted tab on the portal. Today, I paid the deposit for fall. I called in the first week of April and requested a priority decision because I was accepted to other schools. and those other schools had their intent to enroll this month.

I got in!!! Just found out on the portal! Yee

Admitted! Saw the little tab. :)

Congrats! If you don’t mind sharing, what were your stats?

just found out i was accepted too!
for those of you who were accepted, how long did it take to find out about financial aid and how much did people get?
