Hi,
I applied for transfer to the liberal arts college with a 3.10 GPA and already have 61 hours but when I received the transfer audit, my GPA dropped. Now I’m a bit nervous as my application is under review. I wanted to know if there is a reason why the GPA changes and if I have a chance of getting in.
I am not familiar with the entire transfer process but I had kid transfer to another university and the classes she had that did not have a common course number didn’t count towards her GPA at the new university. Her major prior was Animal Science and at the university where she transferred, they didn’t have Ag majors nor had none of those science classes. So while the classes “transferred” as hours, they didn’t transfer as any kind of credit. Her GPA was different in her audit than on the transcript from the university she was leaving.
Here is the A&M course equivalency tool. Click on the prospective transfer student link at the top.

This is the transfer course sheet main page. Scroll down to find your specific major for requirements and any maximum hour caps. If yours has a cap of 60, you may be glad if all of your hours didn’t count.
