Hey guys I am a transfer student looking for help in filling out my housing application. I have looked through the housing brochure and everything but I wanted a little more info.

What's a good housing option for a transfer student? I'm not picky, I just want whatever will give me the best options for socialization.

Thanks so much!

The Quad and the high rises are pretty bustling, but I don’t know the other options very well.

BUMP BUMP

also, has anyone already signed up for dorms? i still havent sent in my deposit so im not entirely sure how this even works. lol

@ probiotic,

yep i signed up for dorms just cause i wanted to make sure id get housing. its been less than a week since acceptances have come out so im sure you still have time left. i went with the high rises mostly cause i felt like the quad would be too congested with freshmen.

and the communal bathrooms…

QuirkyTurkey, did you choose all the high-rises, and in what order?

Communal bathrooms aren’t so bad, but suite-style living is definitely preferable…

Also, anyone applying for the residential programs?

I think I applied for harnwell and rodin as my top two choices, nothing against harrison though. And I didn’t apply for any residential programs, I couldn’t really find any that fit.

I just applied. Harnwell, Harrison and Rodin, mostly 2 BR Doubles, followed by Doubles apartments for the same price (1 BR/liv. room/kit). I didn’t check off the “Lower Floor Level” option, anyhow, I hope I am placed on a floor at a reasonable height, at which running down flights of stairs would be feasible in case of elevator emergency :-)
