Transfer + Double Major

If I transfer into UCLA from a CC, then decide to pick up an economics major (along with my history major I'm currently pursuing)...will this be allowed? Will I have to jump through hoops or what? Anyone who would give some insight would be greatly appreciated...

You should be fine as long as you complete the pre-reqs.

You can't double with Economics unless you get admitted as a transfer into the
Economics department.

Spicy,

I thought that econ accepted people into the major after they transferred? I think someone I know did that...

Maybe their policies changed since I was there, though.

the answer is what spicy said unless you find some way to get around it or find some good councelor.

They do not allow anyone into the major unless they transfered into the major directly... however you could argue that your stats were competative enough that if needed you would have gotten in directly into that major.

I stand corrected.

i am math/econ and i tried to change to econ, they told me i needed a 3.8 to have gotten in when i was transferring, which is a lie, but .... my argument went nowhere with them.

Does this go for all branches of econ?

its for the econ department. ... so yes, its for all parts except math/econ b/c thats in the math department

Alright, thanks.
