Transfer essay different for every school?

For the common app essay for transfer students it says:
Note: The Common Application essay should be the same for all colleges. Members that wish to review custom essay responses will request them on their Supplement form.

Reading about this essay on here I've seen people say you should write the essay catering to each school you're apply to. But this statement seems to contradict that. Should I not write a different essay for every school and should I not include a school's name if I choose to write different essays?

Sorry if this was already asked.

I would not worry about what the CA says, they added that note this year, for both fr and transfer admissions, but you still have the ability to make different versions of your CA to send to different schools.

The information you want to convey to a school is both general (why you want to transfer, what doesn’t work at your current school, what you’re looking for in a new school, etc.) and college specific (what does the school offer that will fulfill your needs, etc.). Schools vary in their applications, some have a “Why college X?” in their supplement, others don’t. For the later, you may want to create a new version and put some school specific information in your main CA essay.
