So I have decided (for various reasons), after living and attending school here for the past few months, that New Paltz just isn't for me and I am going to apply to transfer for the next fall semester.
For the past few weeks I have been working on my transfer applications and supplements when Ive had the time to. But one thing thats been boggling me is the main essay that gets given to each college Im applying to. Here is the information the Common App gives :

Please provide a statement (appr. 250-500 words) that addresses your reasons for transferring and the objectives you hope to achieve. Note: The Common Application essay should be the same for all colleges. Members that wish to review custom essay responses will request them on their Supplement form.

Im not quite sure what they are asking of me. And it has been hard to find transfer essay examples to look at. Does it sound like they just want a simple and straight forward explanation as to why I want to transfer? Or do they want an essay like the ones written for freshman application, like how they had a story and were creative?
