Your extracurriculars are excellent, but you definitely need to take the SAT again, and get a score above 2100 (keep in mind you need to shoot for 650+ in each category). Your income bracket doesn't really make a difference, so I think your essays and teacher recommendations are what are going to do the trick. Also, take more SAT II's, and again, shoot for 650+, but in general colleges want to see 700+ because you get to select what subjects you want to take the subject tests in.

Saying that, I think you have competitive stats, and should focus now on those SAT scores.

Oh God, are you serious? SATs again? haha :( Kill me instead
How do college students re-take SATs?
Dammit, I should study for the SATs over the summer I guess.

But as for the NYU admissions in particular, AdCom states that they will not consider SATs that are taken after HS graduation...

Do college consider your SAT scores in transfer admssions?

I am applying for a junior year admissions...do I have less chances of getting in if I were to apply for a junior year placement?

what did u do at the prison

I volunteered and helped this Harvard graduate student doign her research and stuff.

Mostly took care of orphans in the prison...in Peru, the law states that children of age younger than 5 yrs must stay with their mothers...so, when mothers are confined in a prison, they too are...some are even born in the prison...i was the first one to take them out to a nearby zoo...it was very very heartrending to see kids in that situation...some children called hall ways inside the prison a "street"...i forgot how to say that in Spanish lol

anyway yea

i think its el calle,

anyways, thats cool. did you get paid or did you go for free, or did u pay or what

volunteer i said...we don't get paid

what are my chances? anybody?

Is it worth taking the SATs over again for a junior transfer?

no, you don't need to take the SATs over again...if you're a junior transfer you have 2 years of college work to show the schools, which is what is most important.

there is no need to take the SATIIs again. They're used to measure how you will do in a specific area, you've already been in college long enough that SATs, SATIIs especially, mean much less.
It's up to you about the SATs, but don't take the SATIIs again.

Based on your income bracket, why aren't you applying to the Ivy Leagues for their financial aid?

I am of course considering apply to some Ivies. I did not write it here because I didn't want to get discouraged by others' comments :)

Both my aunt and uncle were faculty member of Columbia...and the same uncle also served as a faculty member at NYU...though, Physics and Computer Science...my uncle is unable to reach at this moment, however, I want to get a recommendation letter from my aunt...do you think this might help even 0.01%?
