@GD2008 by mail that you received in CA today?! I’m so sorry do you mind posting stats? that depresses me too, so I guess previously being on the waitlist even doesn’t come up to be a hook do you think it was something in your application? Again I’m sorry it seems like it’s going to be so tough this year

@meppie Ahh okay I see. Is Wesleyan hard to get into too? When would you hear back? I’m really nervous for us now. :(

Wesleyan is about just as hard to get into as Barnard. They are on their game though, and have an “online notification day” this Thursday that they e-mailed me about. It’s a very stress free decision notification, I think every school should do that!

Gotcha I see well goodluck on Thursday for Wesleyan too! I guess we might get something by Thursday. Or is Barnard sending it to your home address?

GD2008- im so sorry. If it helps, I was rejected from my first choice school when originally applying to college and it messed me up for the whole year. Maybe call and see if there was anything specific they can tell you? :(

meppie- Ive started a wesleyan transfer thread over at the wesleyan board, if ur interested. No news really…there dont seem to be too many of us on CC.

called the admissions office today, the girl on the phone said that for those currently on the waitlist a letter addressing your continued interest in Barnard, is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. so best get started on that ladies if we want our chance =) gl!

ladies i got my acceptance on saturday, but i am giving up the spot because many of you clearly would kill me to go in my stead and i probably would be unwilling to pay full sticker price anyways. good luck to those on the waiting list!

@seriouslyd goodluck with other schools! where did you apply from?

@melonbread Congrats! Which school is your first choice and are you declining immediately? Was yours dated May 3rd too and when and where was it mailed? Thanks! :)

I’m from Long Island, NY and still haven’t heard back yet. So sorry to hear about rejections, I’m happy for those of you who have been accepted, and I hope those of you waitlisted will keep hanging on! I’ll be crossing my fingers for you!

I’m relieved that I’ve been accepted to Binghamton, UNC Chapel Hill, and Tulane so I WILL be going somewhere next year.

I shall be hearing from Columbia on Friday, Brown later this week, and hopefully Barnard soon! So, so nervous! (Just like the rest of you!)

Best of luck everyone! I’ll post here as soon as I hear back from Barnard.

@thewoman: postmarked for the 3rd, mailed to my house in queens, didn’ really read through it. First choice is harvard but that is obviously a shot in the dark, i’m crossing my fingers for columbia or penn(and them taking 60 creds as opposed to 30+).

i’ll be declining sometime this week, probably on friday once all my final papers are handed in.

Gotcha! Thanks for the info! Goodluck with those schools, Penn’s coming out this Thursday right? Also, did you just see your letter this Saturday / did it arrive in your house like the 4th/4th? You go to one of the CUNY’s, right?

melonbread91- maybe this makes me a bad person, but THANK YOU. Some people would hang on until the last minute, perhaps preventing ANYBODY in the list from having a chance. As a potential Barnard waitlist admit, I really appreciate what you’re doing. I hope you get i to Harvard! What’s your intended major?
