<p>I received a confirmation email. They said they would print my email and add it to my waitlist file.</p>
<p>So when I got home today, the first thing I did was run to the mailbox. Thankfully there were 2 big envelopes. BARNARD and Brandeis! I got in! Now just need to decide…</p>

i was wondering if anyone had gotten a rejection from barnard for transferring as a degree candidate, but at the same time coupled with an admission as a visiting student for a semester? it kind of threw me; i can’t remember indicating any kind of interest in my application in applying as a visiting student.
is this what rejection packages are supposed to look like?</p>

<p>Called just now. They said the last batch was mailed on Friday, and therefore we should all hear by this Friday. Aaaah the fact that I haven’t gotten anything yet makes me fear a thin envelope. :(</p>

<p>my mom and i decided the risk of losing housing was too great even tho the college put a note in my file to not factor in the date of the deposit for housing. I really, really need to dorm. really. So, please send out positive vibes that Barnard takes all my credits!!!</p>
<p>Hey guys! Congratulations to all who have gotten in since I was last here - I’ve had really limited computer access recently but I’m glad to see this thread is still so active & supportive! I actually was waitlisted last year as a senior and sent in a letter and two writing samples plus had my English teacher send in a rec – and I was actually admitted. So I suppose it’s important not to send in TOO much but also to stand out. Good luck to everyone! <3</p>

<p>Ack, I actually haven’t seen it cause it went to my house so I don’t know specifically, but I’ve asked my mom to email me a copy tonight when she gets home so I’ll let you know as soon as I can!</p>
<p>im getting really nervous about hearing from Barnard about the waitlist. I really want to get in and I personally dropped off my letter last Wednesday. sigh</p>
<p>@pepperimps I had my boss send in a few speeches I wrote and my current English prof actually taught at Barnard for 7 years. She put in a good word for me. I hope that is enough!</p>

<p>bwaybabe79 - I’ve been given 32 credits (16 are still pending from second semester) and have satisfied the English, Foreign Language, and Lit requirements (and have “tentatively satisfied” the Cultures in Comparison req).
