pepperimps- are you a sophomore currently? if so, that doesnt help because i have approx 63 credits and dont want to repeat a year. im hoping for 55 or more. if you’re a freshman applicant, that would make more sense…

Hey ladies, I called yesterday and was told I was rejected ![]()
I want to wish all of you the best of luck and success! I will be
applying again for spring semester so maybe I could meet all of you
then :)

Hey sarahnour3 just wondering, are you a freshman or a soph?

I’m a soph right now and I just rejected, and I was wondering if it was even worth trying again junior year. I feel like I should start giving up…
what do you guys think?

Dearcloud- I was waitlisted as a sophomore and I am currently in my 3rd year of college but definitely don’t mind starting junior year again at Barnard. If you won’t mind as well, definitely don’t give up
sarahnour goodluck with spring admissions!!!
hope you make it!

Ahh still waiting for my credit evals!

hey thewoman!
sorry so are you a junior at your current college and are now entering as a junior at barnard?

Yeap! I’ve got 80++ college credits so far

I read an article that said colleges are most willing to take students off the waiting list who can pay full tuition. For those of you already chosen from the list, can you afford to pay? Just wanna know

bwaybabe79 - l’ll be a sophomore next year, so yes, everything worked out how it should have for my situation so yours should be fine. :)

Hey dearcloud, I’m going to be a sophomore in the fall. I think if you really want to attend Barnard, there’s no harm in trying! I think you should definitely go for it. Thanks thewoman! :)

Just the call offering me a spot in the class! I’m really excited but also nervous because now I have two options and I don’t want to choose “the wrong one” again- is anyone else in the same boat?

@SeasonsofLuv23: I know what you mean…I’m torn as well. I figure this though: of the schools I’ve been accepted to there really is no decision I can make that will be bad.

I mean, try remembering what it was like when you first applied; I don’t know about you, but I just wanted to not go where I was going. So its a win-win.

Oh AND CONGRATS!
SO jealous right now.

Yes I’m very jealous too! I brought in my letter of appeal yesterday and I haven’t heard anything yet. But I completely understand your plight - one of the reasons I’m a little squeamish about Barnard is that it’s in the city. I’ve been in the city for a year and it makes me feel just a little bit more lonely all the time, yknow? So it’s hard to figure out what the right choice is :/

@SeasonsofLuv23: I’m stuck on deciding as well. I chose the wrong high school before, which screwed me up big time the first time I applied for college (hence the transfer), so I definitely don’t want to make the same mistake. But out of my options, I don’t think there’s a “wrong one.”

@1000Bpm: “Not go where I was going…” I feel you on this!

@PaulaDanielle: I’m the exact opposite of you, I can’t wait to get to the city. Been living in the suburbs too long! But good luck to you!

@hpnotiq lol it’s a love/hate relationship with nyc if i get into barnard i’m almost definitely going.

god im so nervous, i still havent’ heard anything from Barnard about the waitlist. I feel like if they call me in June or July it’ll just be to tell me that I didn’t get in =/

Same here. And now the office closed so we have to get through yet another weekend without knowing *sigh

Goodluck everyonnneee keep us posteddd!!! <3

sent in my housing request form yesterday!! still waiting on my credit eval though.

everybody on the WL- keep hoping!!! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you guys.

bwaybabe, did you get a housing form with your acceptance packet? or did it come later? i mean, i filled out the thing online on eBear but i dunno if that’s what you’re talking about. did you call them or anything about housing for transfers?
