any chance you can post a screenshot of that?

mine just says complete, no where does it say that they’re waiting for my spring transcript

any chance you can post a screenshot of that?

mine just says complete, no where does it say that they’re waiting for my spring transcript

I don’t know how to post a pic here.

exactly where on the mystatus page does it say that theyre waiting for your spring grades?

i tried looking for it on mine and I didnt see it

i dont think you can upload pics here but you can upload them to photobucket or somewhere else and post the direct link on here

It is under “Admission” on MyStatus.

“Your application for admission is in review.
We have all the items we need to make your admission decision. As soon as your decision is made, it’ll be posted on this page and you’ll be notified by mail.
*Indicator Courses:Business applicants must show completion of business indicator courses. Learn more about business indicator courses.
Find out how this might affect timing for your admission decision.”

Then I click on “timing for your admission decision”. It says:

“Timing for Your Admission Decision
A decision about your application to business cannot be made until we receive official transcripts showing that you’ve completed the business indicator courses.
Currently enrolled in business indicator coursework? If you’re enrolled in one or more of the required business indicator courses, we’ll wait until we receive an official transcript showing you’ve completed them to make your admission decision.
Already completed the courses? If you submitted transcripts showing that you’ve completed all the required courses and you’ve completed at least 30 hours of transfer coursework, your application will go to review in the normal timeframe.
If you do not complete the required business indicator courses, you’ll be considered for admission to the second-choice major you selected, if you selected one, rather than for admission to business.”

Mine is the same…

I thought it was mentioned to Cal2 on your status specifically. MyStatus shows the same way, and I have the same notification.

Oops!!! I did it again! I supposed not to check MyStatus.

Locness applied to engineering - i think - and the engineering pre-requisite link gives essentially the same statement. I have, however, received word indicating otherwise from my admissions counselor. I cannot speak for Business but i was told that for engineering if you are currently enrolled in courses to meet the calculus requirement that your decision may still be made before completion of those courses and subsequent transcript update - but that possibly is entirely contingent on the makeup of the applicant pool.

So, Locness, all you (and I) can do right now is wait. The decision could come any day, but there is no way to tell. Just concentrate on finals for the next few weeks and know that your acceptance will be that much sweeter when it finally comes - even if it’s after the semester ends!

i called today again to ask this specific question

the admissions lady looked up my id
she said that since my gpa is a 3.8, theyre mostly looking for a 3.7
and that since i have an A in calc 1 I should expect to hear back this month

she also said that biomedical engineering is the most competitive major to get into at cockrell but that I should be fine because “i’m putting my best foot forward” and my gpa is good

i called twice now(today and last week) to ask when I’d hear back and both times two different people looked up my id and said i’d hear back this month

I don’t think that “timing link” really means anything

and mnaacd
i’ve pretty much locked in my chem,calc2,english grades for an a
i can make like a 75 on my final exams and still have an A

biology it looks like i may make a b unless i get a straight 100 on finals

i can’t stop myself from checking mystatus every few hours! =(

Thanks, Locness.

Do the EE applicants have timing link too? I didn’t think that “timing link” really means anything either. But now, I am getting impatient at having nothing to wait so long. Some people got accepted without completion last year. I’m going to call the admission office tomorrow.

^ Yes I applied to EE and have the same link.

I called the admission office today.

According to the admission counselor, the McCombs applicants who complete all required courses will be received the result until May 1st. But the admission office does not make any decision to the applicants who do not complete those courses. So, I have to wait until almost the late of May. NOCHICKY is totally right. I forgot to ask her about the condition of EE applicants.

The counselor also said that the admission office keeps the amount of seats for applicants who are waiting and still have “in review” on their status. They put a emphasis on checking MATH grades and GPA. Those seats are not on a first-come, first-served basis.

And personally, she changed her voice tone when she checked my status. She said that I have pretty much possibility if I keep going. This means 3.92 GPA is not so bad to be accepted. I thought McCombs was looking for above 3.95 GPA.

Anyway, I have to be patient one more month…

what about If I do not take any indicator courses this semester?
I finished micro and macro economics and a calculus course.
I do not finish all indicator courses, so do I have no chance to get in McCombs?
and I’m sorry for one more question.
when do u guys think the my admission result comes out?

Would you explain your “calculus course” more specifically? Isn’t it equivalent to Calculus courses of UT at Austin?

@NOVACKY

it’s like a calculus course going over both Cal I and Cal II and also it can be transferred to Madison officially though I’m not pretty sure that it can be transferred to UT because it’s OOS.

I got accepted… ACCEPTED!!! I am shaking!!!

I really hope every one of us in this thread gets accepted!!!

@NOVACKY
Congratulations!!! Did you got accepted by McComb?

congrats novacky!

how much of calculus do you have done ?

@goodjoblyn
Thanks. Yes, I got admitted into McCombs.

@Locness
Thanks. I’ve done Cal 1 and Cal 2 with A’s.

I had supper with my friends, and they said I might make their eyes on me when I called the admission office. I told them my ID and expressed myself how I really wanted to get into UT at Austin on the phone.

If you are still waiting, don’t worry at all. Sooner or later, you will receive good news!!!

I forgot to post my status here.
