There is only one preview date left but thank you. I just signed up!

wow preview dates flew! Anyone know what dates are left for the Transfers?

No answer zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

thank you all :)

@torey: mechanical and aerospace

to those who have been admitted:
Iām set on campus lodge btw and I need room mates. I guess itāll be best to room w/ transfers, especially fellow engineers.

If any of you are interested, hereās a resident profile I got at Gainesville

Do you smoke? No
Do you mind of your roommate smokes? No
Do you mind if your roommate smokes only outside? No

Work habits: currently I donāt work but I donāt slack
Neatness: I like having everything organized. I only leave a mess there if Iām extremely busy
Personality: Iām outgoing, helpful, dependable, etc. However, I can get short tempered if I get less than 4 hours of sleep for 3 consecutive nights or become really hungry
Social Habits: I love to go out and have fun, just after i do my dayās worth of work. In other words, Iād put my studies first.
Sleeping habits: Iām an early riser and I could stay up late. I guess you can say I have control over my sleeping pattern.

Major: Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering
Enrollment as of Fall 2012: Transfer, Junior
Hobbies/TV Habits/Personality/etc: I love physical activity. Iām always looking for new ways to work out and Iām always watching what I eat. Sadly, Iāve been too busy to have a great diet and gym schedule this term but Iām free in the summer! Iām also interested in motorsports and iām always down to play team sports. If Iām feeling lazy Iāll get on my xbox ( which has been collecting dust lately) or watch a movie. Whenever Iām with friends, Iād like to make everyone feel like a part of the group and treat house guests like family.

What characteristics do I look for in a roommate? I respect their privacy and all, but donāt be a stranger! Just remember to do your part of the work in the apartment and feel free to talk about anything to me. If that requirement is met, then itāll be a great year and Iāll look forward to being your roommate.

Will you be bringing a pet? No
Do you mind pets? No
Are you willing to live with a pet? Sure
Are you allergic to pets? No
Do you have any special requests? Nope

If youāre interested, there you go. I may consider another place but Iād have to check it out. Anything else you want to know, just tell me!

I canāt sign up for orientation then again, I was admitted yesterday

@juan, you sound like an awesome roomie too bad youāre not a girl lol

What is meant by preview?

preview = orientation

So no one got an answer today?

No answer this weekā¦ Means Iāll probably finish finals before knowing

@PrettyPeridot: Dorming with the opposite sex shouldānt be difficult though, there just needs to be some ground rules. If theyāre broken though, idk what would happen next lol.

Yeah, preview dates are flying. Does the last preview date get full? If it does, what happens to those students who canāt attend orientation?

If anyone has been accepted to multiple schools and have gotten their financial aid packages, how does UFās package compare to those from other schools?

Anyone in Chemical Engineering get an admission decision yet?

Has anyone heard from CALS- Family youth and community sciences as a transfer for Fall 2012???

Yeah, I would personally rather live with guysā¦but I say it because I signed a lease to an apartment for fall, and Iām pretty sure it has to be all girls in the unit. lol

Did anyone who got accepted checked their financial aid status in isis?
It gives me a message that my finanial aid package cannot be sent because my admission acceptance is incompleteā¦ anyone else get this message?

@PrettyPeridot: I think i read that you signed up for the estates though. I know campus lodge is coed if requested, idk about the estates. I think living with a girl would be great because it would encourage me to be more neat lol. Iām leaning more towards the lodge, but if itās full, the estates is my next choice

@FutureGator77: I got the same message. I got a letter today that says to confirm my admission by emailing the person in charge of undergrad admissions for the mechanical and aerospace department. Hopefully after sending that e-mail I can see my financial aid package.

Oh wow, my admission letter was printed March 22. My buddy told me she called and said wasnāt sending out confirmation letters or updating application statuses (at least for the college of engineering) because the associate dean was out on vacation. They needed her because sheās the one that signs all the letters. I didnāt believe it but I guess she was right lol

@juan56789: Thanks for replying. Good to know Iām not the only one whoās getting that message. Yes, I got the letter too on thursday and I confirmed my admission by sending the e-mail to the department head on the same day, and on friday, I received a thank you letter from the departmenr head. Hopefully, the status will change soon.

Iām getting really fidgety waiting for an answer. Anyone looking at this know when nuclear engineering is going to be giving out decisions?

I got the same letter, I replied Friday afternoon but have not gotten a response yet. Itās probably because they leave early on Friday. I also had to ask a question in my letter and was wondering if any engineering majors had the same problemā¦ As part of my condition of acceptance, it says I need to take DE my first semester at UF, but Iām taking it over the summer! Do you guys think Iāll have to take it twice?

Also, I didnāt check the financial aid page but I did try to log onto webmail.ufl.edu -it says my username wasnāt recognized. You guys should try it. They probably just take time to update everything though. Or it might not be available until after you register for classes orientation. They most important thing is that we got written confirmation!
