transfer Fall 2012

ufkid520, did you apply for summer A/C, summer B, or fall?

I don’t like how they inform people at last minute like that. We need time to pack, secure housing, pick out classes…ect -_-

ufkid, did anyone at any point ask for your ufid?
I’m being seriously doubtful as to what they are saying because of the chick who just got accepted, and someone else I know said that they would know by march 10 when their college admissions deadline is the first.

@prettyperidot around when did you send in your application?

I applied for Fall 2012. And yes, the lady at the college of engineering pulled up my application.

@gatorordie

I applied on Feb. 9th and they received all my transcripts by Feb. 13th. After they received my transcripts, It didn’t take long to get deffered to my college. I would say about a week.

but still nothing…*sigh

If they feel like taking forever I would preder they make their decision in may then, so I have time to send in my final transcript because I am sure my GPA will go up by the time I finish my A.A at the end of april
I’m so stressed -__-

(I also applied to USF) I spoke to USF admissions and what I gathered was that I will have a decision from them within the next 2-9 days, so I’m excited/anxious for that.

I read up on last year’s thread and I have to say that UF’s admissions is ALL OVER THE PLACE. There were people from CALS getting decisions before the deadline all the way up until the end of may, and it really seemed that people so applied early were one of the last to know, which is absolutely ■■■■■■■■.
And it seems that some schools wait to make their decision when the spring semester is over to place into account the final transcript from them, and some were denied admissions because of “lack of prerequisites” even though they had intentions of taking those courses before going to UF. Their decision was changed was after they appealed, so just saying in case that happens this year.

I know! ugh
It would be to my benefit for them to deliberate after april, but at the same time it sucks that they take forever to get back to most people because, like I’ve said before, there is the matter of picking up classes and (in my case) getting a dorm. We need time to prepare.
Let’s hope everything turns out for the better :)

I saw last year that some people had to give up scholarships and pay admissions deposits at another school because the deadline for those things came up and they still hadn’t made a decision, and they were unsympathetic to it.

I just know I’m going to be one of those that gets looked at around May because I would have completed six of my prerecs by then, and that’s when they start looking at you.

Yay!!! I got accepted to UF, I applied Jan 20 and I got my response bak bout a week ago. I am a Criminal Justice major…I applied to the Liberal Arts and Science department for the fall 2012 term…

Congratulations! Stats?
Kind of sucks that it’s been a couple of days and only one acceptance has been heard of.
I won’t get a decision until the middle of May.

I think there have been quite few lately. I got my acceptance Friday night and I saw a few other people on other posts got in too.

Term: Fall 2012
Major: Economics (CLAS)
I was accepted last week and I applied at the end of January. My GPA is 3.80 and my pre-prof is 4.0 without stats and business calc which I’m currently taking this semester.

I’m still waiting to see if I was accepted or not too…I applied to the Rinker School of Building Construction as a transfer

I’m in the same boat as you, ToreyPhilemon. I think I’m going to be one of the last applicants to be looked at because I only have 3/8 pre-req’s completed. This term I’m taking another 3 with 2 labs, and I’ll be taking the remaining two in the summer. I have no problem maintaining a 4.0 pre-prof gpa but I don’t think 3 out of 8 pre-reqs completed puts me ahead.

Applying for Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering.

The college of engineering will be one of the last to notify.
And it sucks and two of the three of the five b’s i have are in my preprof classes so I have to work really hard to get that up.
Looking at last year’s thread I saw that some individuals were denied because they thought that they were not intending on taking classes int eh summer so make sure that you have that intended.
I’m applying for nuclear.

I APPLIED FOR SUMMER B. MY MAJOR IS INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING. MY STATUS STILL SAYS: Your application for admission to the University of Florida for the Summer B 2012 term has been received. ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS!!!

MY GPA IS 3.95, PRE PROF. 4.0 WHAT ARE MY CHANCES???

I wouldn’t expect anything to change this week, since it’s Spring Break. The college of Health and Human Performance told me they usually send their decisions out on a Friday and it is rolling. I was hoping for this Friday, but I guess I can wait until next…

@LadyGator
congrats! What major? and what are your stats, if you don’t mind :)

OMG, hadn’t checked the website in about to days and just looked at it now. ACCEPTED!!

Congratulations!!! Your application to the University of Florida for the Summer B 2012 term has been approved!

Official notification will arrive by mail, including the conditions of your admission as well as important orientation and immunization information.

We look forward to seeing you on campus soon, and welcome you to the Gator Nation!

I am sooooo excited!!! :D

Good luck to those still waiting!
