Anyone else get a letter saying they’re postponing a decision until they receive this semesters grades? I’m concerned there won’t be any spots open for admission by the time my grades are finalized and sent.

@jstro024 I am a transfer student from md! I got my associates in comp info science from pgcc in the fall. I’m currently at umuc and applied for this fall at umd. I got wait listed and have been trying to figure out my chances of getting in, but no luck yet :(

Got in!

Hope everyone heard some good news this week!

@jstro024 unfortunately no! Do you know the statistics of people who make it off the waitlist?

I am sure there will be some people who will decline their admission. How many of those there are, and how many waitlisted people there are, I don’t know. I think we’ll know better when financial aid letters are sent out.

Speaking of financial aid… I asked a couple pages back, but it’s buried by this point. Does anyone know the time frame for financial aid awards to come through? Mine (and I’m sure everyone else’s) says my file is being reviewed. I’d like to think that since it’s currently being reviewed that it wouldn’t be long.

I still haven’t heard anything from them!! Is that bad? Has anyone gotten a decision that is a business major??

I still haven’t heard anything yet! Has anyone else heard back who is majoring in Business??

Hey guys I’m a transfer student from Virginia that was admitted to the School of Public Health! Most likely going to UMD in the fall just waiting for my financial aid package before I send in my deposit lol…whats the odds of getting housing on-campus? I submitted the housing/dining agreement as soon as I was admitted.

Hey! I got my admission from UMd. I sent an application for a major in Accounting, and added Economics as a second choice major. For now, they listed my major as “Letters and Sciences”. They didn’t mention anything about me being refused for Accounting. Is it normal? Are they waiting for my final grades in Accounting? Thanks.

Anyone also receive the transfer presidential scholarship!?!?!

I was recently admitted as a transfer a few weeks ago from PGCC. :-)

Hey everyone!! I’ll be applying for the regular admission deadline. Probably submitting in a week or two. Could anyone chance me?

3 years out of high school, worked as a professional ballet dancer since then. My SAT score is 2060 with a 730 SATII. As a junior in high school I was a Maryland Distinguished Scholar in Dance. I have 4s on 4 AP exams and 2 5s, and I graduated magna cum laude (weighted GPA 4.4/4) as an AP Scholar with Distinction. Since then, I’ve taken 15 credits of community college classes in CA and MD, with a GPA of 3.75 (DAMNIT 1 B at MC because of a stupid exam grrr). I have great work experience from ballet, and have a high school teacher with a doctorate writing what she says will be a “glowing letter”. Unfortunately, I’m
a) missing a fundamental math class; I’ll be taking one this summer and will mention it in the app. I only went through pre-cal in high school
b) missing the priority deadline

@sfgirl101 I think u have a great chance.
Ur sat score was great and gpa. I was researching online it said a min of 3.45 gpa students are admitted. Ugh the wait is too I also applied at that deadline hope we both get in! Can someone also help, what are the chances if you apply by June 1st ?

I got in!!! So freaking relieved and excited right now GAH
