Transfer, fall 2014 (Viterbi school of engineering)

hello everybody!

before I start my story. Id like to welcome everybody whos planning to transfer to Viterbi for fall 2014.

Im currently studying overseas majoring in electrical engineering in a university. Im going to apply to USC for the next school-year as a sophomore.
i have strong academic background and i will do my best to get a 4.0 GPA. the courses I'll be taking for two semesters would cover all the recommended courses for electrical eng in the transfer catalog. I can code in C++ and Java but never took a class for a letter grade.
been busy with android since 10th grade( this is really when i though im gonna do electrical eng)

before i even could think about taking standardized tests left Cali and ended up getting my high school diploma in Iran.

I have tons of extracurricular activities that i can list( coding sports etc)

im translating khanacademy videos in 2 languages and i volunteered to help a similar small organization like khanacademy but in Farsi ( they're all stanford graduates).

Ive really put everything i got into my college program and Im looking forward to get into USc. I choose usc because of their great need-based finaid program.

now with that said, I literally Love what i do and I just cant afford to miss anything that can somehow increase the chance of me getting in.

Id be extremely happy to hear your thoughts everyone.

[ this is not my topic, please, if u have any questions related to the title dont open up a new thread THANQ]

i really could use some help here folks.

So you are an American studying overseas now?

Also, you didn’t ask any questions for anyone to help you with.

It is an apparent trend that people pick the school because of its need based aid. More than wanting the school, they want the free school.

No im not an american(yet), im a permanent resident.

the interesting thing is USC is not by any meaning cheap or affordable but in my case if i apply to say UCs I cant pay the tuition because i cant get calgrant( i left cali for more than 1 year). so in reality usc turns out to be much better in terms of affordability.

1st question: do i stand any chance to be admitted?
2nd: since im no longer considered in state student in California, i dont mind going to the other states. if theres any other university or colleges you may happen to know with the usc qualities Id definitely be happy to apply to them as well.
3rd:is viterbi worth it? i mean i have to take out loans more than im comfortable with!

i honestly dont know i didnt ask these Qs in the first post :S weird?

bump…
