Has anyone received admission decisions yet or know when they start to come out? I applied early January.

Then again, what grades did you have and what faculty are you applying to?

3.68 GPA from an american university and applying to desautels as a sophmore

I always operated under the impression that the shortest turnaround times were strong applicants who applied earlyā¦ at least this isnāt a pipe dream.

I was a transfer student admit (3.7 GPA though Canadian University) and I applied early and didnāt get my result until June. Essentially, the policy when I applied (around 2011) was that they waited until after the deadline to accept/reject the admission offer for new students (I think itās around March/April/May though itās been a while so Iām a bit rusty on the exact dates).

I havenāt heard of any transfer student getting accepted in February (though of course maybe there are some), those are usually reserved for new students. I think how the transfer admission process works is they look at the amount of new folks committed to coming in (which starts to get finalized during April/May), the amount of folks that dropped out in any faculty and then they decide how many transfer students they will let in to fill the remaining spots.

I think as long as your GPA is around the recommended admissions standard stated here: http://www.mcgill.ca/applying/admissionsguide/standards/transfer-and-second-degree, you have a good shot at getting in.

For Desautels, I believe the program is under Management so you would need:
GPA between 3.3 - 3.7
B in each math (One semester course covering differential and integral calculus)

thank you for your reply!!

Do you know when I can expect to hear back? Iām transferring from a Canadian university with a GPA of 3.74.

Iāve submitted all my documents.

Iām wondering whether McGill would possibly grant any conditional offer if you havenāt take the prerequisite Calculus?

I had Calculus and Linear Algebra in high school thoā¦

American Community College student applying to the Faculty of the Arts with a 3.95 GPA. I still havenāt submitted my unofficial transcript yet (Iām having trouble uploading it electronically), but I should have it sorted out by tomorrow. Hopefully it doesnāt take too long to receive a decision. Good luck to all!

@rockingthequest I called McGill about uploading unofficial transcripts and they told me that taking a screenshot of your marks (and uploading as a pdf) would be enough. If they require your official transcripts, theyāll inform you.

However, I asked coming from a Quebec university. Iād call them to make sure since the quicker you upload it, the sooner theyāll respond about a decision.

@eddnyc Iām pretty sure McGill requires those courses. If you donāt meet the prerequisite, I think youāll have a significantly less chance of being admitted. Double check with admissions though. Iād take summer courses if I were you.

@nk022872 I managed to get the document in PDA form, but I think they would have accepted a screenshot.

Unfortunately, I have a withdraw on my transcript and Iām hoping it wonāt hinder my chances of being granted acceptance. I retook the class, though, and received an A, but Iām still concerned.

Has anyone got managementās transfer offer yet?

Iām still listed as Ready for Review

Same here.

The website said that we can expect a decision around May 1 - July 18, 2014 (if you are from a Canadian university). Is there any chance that they would give a response sooner? And how would that affect my decision to live in rez?

Has anyone moved out of āReady for Reviewā?

It wont move out of āready for reviewā until early june so for now its best to just wait it out and check once mid-june comes around

Has anybody heard anything yet? Iām still in Ready for Review.

Also, is it possible to be accepted based on my Fall term grades? My professors still have yet to submit the grades for my Winter term.

You may receive a conditional acceptance but all final acceptances are issued only after your final grades are reviewed. Be patient.
