Transfer for International student

I am an international student from India Studying in a reputed college here called IIT (Indian Institute Of Technology). I am currently doing the first year here, second year starts in July 2010. The application date for second year transfer is over on feb 13 and i missed it. Can i apply for a transfer for 3rd year?
I have a really strong understanding in programming( mostly c++ but now visual studio, browser and server scriptings like javascript, php etc) and i and my friends are already making up a really revoulutionary (in our words) website, comparable to wonders like facebook etc. Once this website is online will it in any way help me up in admission to caltech?

Please reply and thanks in advance.

nradam: I’m just a regular Caltech applicant. But I think it’ll help the other guys here if you could mention your IIT JEE AIR, and the branch of IIT you’re studying at. If you got CS at IIT, I’m assuming you’re an uber-genius
Your SAT scores might help too…

IIT is better than Caltech. Why transfer out? You’ll need terrific essays.

Lobzz: A bit of a sweeping statement there.
Although I haven’t received any kind of training for the IIT entrance exam, I have a couple of friends at IIT-K, who’ve told me how IIT really works. I’d love to explain, but this is probably the wrong place. :)

I think it will help. What definitely helps is that:
1 research experience
2 GAP/SAT/TOEFL etc
3 FYI, caltech does not offer intl transfer student any financial aid… so…
