Transfer for spring to RPI/WPI/UMass

I had roughly a 2.9 GPA for my freshman year at fordham (which was university I got the most money to as a freshman) then I transferred to wentworth to raise my GPA and I did and it was a 3.8 there. I was a math major at both of these places.
If high school still matters (which it probably doesn’t), I had around a 4.0 and was in the top 10 of my class and had an sat score between 1900 and 2000 I believe, I don’t remember. I was involved in a few clubs at both places and have a part time engineering internship right now.
I’m really interested in doing more undergraduate research at a place like RPI/WPI/umass in applied physics because wentworth is much more career focused with very little undergraduate research opportunities and they only offer physics as a minor not a major. I know that undergraduates at RPI and WPI have many more opportunities to do research like this while still undergrads. I really want to eventually get a masters/phd too. Would I even have a shot at a good university’s physics program if i transferred twice? Also, what do you think my chances of getting into RPI (I was accepted as a freshman but decided not to go which was the biggest regret I have to this day) or WPI or umass are? Are more undergraduate research opportunities and these universities actually having physics as a major a good reason to transfer? BTW I thought I hated Physics until I had physics last year. I had a terrible high school teacher that didn’t actually make it past drawing a force diagram.
