Dear zackthemac : You were rejected one semester back by a group of schools that are pretty closely grouped in terms of the academic candidates that they pursue (BC, Georgetown, NYU, and GW). At a lower tier, you have Lehigh which was a deferral. It is pretty clear that something was generally amiss in your application to all of these schools whether it was your high school GPA, course rigor, SAT verbal score, your essay, or other factors. The new element here is 15 credit hours at St. John’s with a GPA in the 3.9 range. It is unclear that fifteen weeks in one freshman semester are sufficient to reset a complete rejection to an acceptance - this is even further underscored by the fact that your internship seems to point to an interest in a spot in CSOM.

All of this said, pursue your dream at all of these schools, but wouldn’t a Fall 2010 application be more reasonable than a midyear transfer attempt? (Perhaps that is what you intend, but it is unclear from your posting.)

i am applying for fall 2010

so many views but no thoughts … please leave your opinions

please let me know what you think
