What are some transfer friendly business schools from a community college? I had crap grades in HS, so I would like some schools where they do not count high school stats for admission as long as 30 units or over, like the UC’s or USC
I may or may not be attending community college for a third year this fall, just to safe, I’m starting to look for other colleges.
I am aware of the large majority of csu business schools, but i do not wish to apply or attend there for personal reasons.
I currently attend a California community college, and will have ALL prerequisites done if I attend cc for one more year.
Schools i have in mind
UCB
UCI
UCR
USC
Are there any other transfer friendly schools you guys know? Can be in or out of state for me.
Thank you
What’s your budget per year? (How much can your family afford to spend without taking out loans).
What’s your community college GPA?
Were you going to apply this fall?
@philbegas No budget required, (im fortunate enough to have my family pay for my education without loans)
Community college GPA will be around 3.7-3.8 with 60+units completed
Yeah if I stay one more year, i will be applying for Fall 2018 transfer.
Thanks
@philbegas Yeah I’ll probably apply to long beach and sdsu for backup.
I’m not sure if I even want to go to Haas as it is too competitive and stressful if I get admitted.
Concentration in finance.
Do you know any transfer friendly schools in or out of state in my situation? Majority, if not all other undergrad schools are not transfer friendly to CC students. Examples include like NYU, U Mich, etc… I mean you can apply, but the acceptance rate of a transfer is lower than to land a job at Goldman lol. They usually admit their own students to their business schools
You know what’s funny is I applied in fall 2016 for transfer into the fall 2017 semester. I had a 3.756, I had 41 units completed at time of application, and I had crap grades in high school (2.3 UW). And… I’m applying for Finance. Twins? lol.
If it helps at all, I can tell you the results of my applications. I’ve gotten almost all of my results back. One school that IS transfer friendly, and has a proximity advantage would be Baruch College in New York City. It’s quite inexpensive too so you can save money for grad school.
@philbegas yo that is insane haha. Yeah I would love to hear the results and where you ending up attending. I’ll send you a PM
